nanoFix™ Products

PathTrack have developed a number of highly innovative GPS products aimed at the avian tracking market. Different configurations are possible. Examples of implementations range from a purely archival device through to a 'self-sustaining' unit, that employs solar re-charging technology for continuous operation and low-power wireless communications techniques to recover data.

nanoFix™Mini

Our smallest archival tag is the 'Mini'.  At just 1g with a weatherproof coating and mounting points it can provide on average 80 locations scheduled over a period of weeks to months.  With regular daylight its solar trickle charger can increase this to 378 locations, or at least one location a day for a year !  Other configurations are available with larger batteries for long term deployments where solar charging is not appropriate.
 

nanoFix™Geo & Geo+

Our standard product, available with or without solar charging.  With increased memory and larger solar panels (Geo+), these tags are capable of storing up to 20,000 locations with up to 40 locations per day.  Weights start at around 1.6g for a basic Geo tag with solar trickle charging, up to 3g with larger solar panels (Geo+).  All tags are weatherproof, but dive proofing is available adding up to 3g of additional weight.   An on board immersion sensor can be used for activiity monitoring as well as restricting location attempts to dry periods. The GPS antenna is available as an external 50mm whip, or alternatively an encapsulated 12mm ceramic patch (+4g).

nanoFix™Geo+RF

Our Geo+ tag with hourly UHF download capibilty and location storage capacity increased to 60,000.   Tag configuration weights range from 5g (up to 36 location per day) to 9g (up to 120 locations per day).  All tags are weatherproof, but dive proofing is available adding up to 3g of additional weight.  UHF antennas are embedded, but the GPS antenna is available as an external 50mm whip, or alternatively an encapsulated 12mm ceramic patch (+4g). UHF download range is up to 1km depending on environment.

UHF Basestations

Solar-powered UHF basestations have been designed for radio-linked devices that enable the download of location information from the device in applications where the tracked subject visits an area regularly (e.g. a nesting ground).
