Developed from the original nanoFix® GPS devices our new range of picoFix® loggers can be supplied with an ever growing range of lightweight battery, solar and sensor options. From ultra lightweight tags used to track extremely small bats, through to 400m depth proof tags with depth sensors used to track the movements of deep diving penguins, our products are field-proven in almost every climate around the world.

Tag Specification

Weight Our Mini GPS loggers start at just 0.75g, standard loggers at 1.65g
Dimensions Starting at 18 x 11 x 3mm plus ~50mm external whip antenna
Battery only capacity Range of battery options available with capacities ranging from 320 to over 12000 GPS location attempts between recharges
Solar capacity Range of options available providing between 20 and 480 GPS location attempts per day - based on UK summertime conditions
Memory capacity Mini GPS tags can store up to 320000 GPS location attempts (with accelerometer disabled), standard loggers in excess of 400000
Accelerometer 3-axis device providing burst or continuous data capture at 1Hz, 12.5Hz or 25Hz
Immersion sensor Standard loggers have an immersion sensor to avoid wasted power when tag is submerged. This data can also be logged
Depth sensor Standard loggers can be fitted with depth and temperature sensors rated to 290m. Configurable sample rate and depth thresholds
Waterproofing All immersion proof, depth proofing also available
Packaging type Epoxy or epoxy plus Duraform housing
Attachment method Tape, glue or harnessing where applicable
