We have produced a large number of GPS tags with GSM download for larger seabirds such as gannets and cormorants. These tags have built-in immersion sensors and incorporate large solar panels. They also have the option of being fitted with depth sensors. As shown here we can also produce a small, lightweight tag at 8.0g for non-diving species. Details of that configuration are presented below.
We are currently in the process of updating our GSM product line from using our nanoFix® GPS to our picoFix® technology. In combination with our new lightweight, high performance solar panels known as our solarPlus option we hope to be able to achieve further improvements in performance, as well as reductions in size and weight.
